A stroke is a sudden and potentially life-threatening medical condition that occurs when there is a disruption of blood supply to the brain. This can happen either due to a blockage in an artery (ischemic stroke) or the rupture of a blood vessel (hemorrhagic stroke). Strokes often lead to the rapid onset of neurological symptoms, which can include weakness or numbness on one side of the body, difficulty speaking, confusion, and impaired coordination.
You must be accompanied by a carer if you need support!
