Swimming Lesson Update

To all Parents, Carers and Swimmers

Thank you to everyone for returning to our COVID Secure swimming lessons.

We take the well-being and safety of our staff and customers seriously.  Please see below for a reminder of the necessary actions required when in and around the building

Please can we all remember : Hands, Face, Space

Hands  :

Hand Sanitiser is available for your use throughout the building.

On arrival and departure, sanitizer can be found on either side of the front door

The viewing area, sanitizer can be found near the door to poolside

Communal areas and corridors, located at intervals around the building

Face Covering :

We ask that you wear a face covering /masks when in and around the building. This includes changing rooms and communal/viewing areas and exiting the areas.

Space :

Changing Rooms.

Ensure your little swimmer arrives ‘beach’ ready

You have been allocated a changing room for your lesson.

The appropriate capacity for your changing room is noted on the changing room door.

Changing areas are identified by a green tick on the wall and is per household/bubble.

Whilst a parent with 1, 2 or more children count as a single household, please be mindful of others when entering the changing room. If you and/or your child/ren, on entry, cause the changing room to be over/at an uncomfortable capacity, we kindly ask that you wait in the corridor until a suitable space is available.  We appreciate that this might be slightly inconvenient.

Spend as little amount of time as possible in the changing rooms, ideally bring a dressing gown or onesie for your swimmer to wear to go home’


Communal/ Viewing area

The appropriate capacity for each communal area is noted in each area.

If you are staying to view, please consider the numbers allowed

Please keep your distance, we have put markers on the floor to help. If the area is at capacity, please wait elsewhere

If both viewing areas are at full capacity, we politely ask you to wait in your car.

It has been necessary to remove chairs from the viewing/communal areas, please bring a chair if you would like to sit down.

Please refrain from sitting on the windowsills.

Swimming Lessons :

Only 1 Adult should accompany swimmers from the same household/bubble.

Ensure your little swimmer arrives ‘beach’ ready

Please remove your child/ren’s clothes from the changing room and keep them with you

When entering poolside, ensure your swimmer(s) know which coloured tick to wait at before the lesson commences

If arm discs are required, ensure your swimmer puts on the required number of discs on entry to poolside. (Those in the small baskets have been sanitized).  For those using Female Swim 2, discs can be found in the small basket in the viewing area

Please refrain from touching equipment/Arms Discs that you will not use

Be ready to collect your child when their lesson finishes. Please respect social distancing when you/your child/ren are entering /leaving poolside

Finally :

Under no circumstances do you enter BH & L if you are showing Covid 19 symptoms or you have been asked to self-isolate

We thank you for respecting these guidelines, if we all follow these, we will remain COVID Secure, be able to remain open and continue to provide good quality lessons to your children.

The Coronavirus pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on the leisure industry, mainly due to reduction in numbers allowed in each activity.
