Bollington Squash Club is made up of a few components:
Firstly we have a number of Squash teams competing in the North West Counties Squash Leagues (NWCSL). During the Squash season, teams of 5 compete with other teams from around the area in a competitive league match. At Bollington Health and Leisure we have 3 men’s teams; one in Division 2, one in Division 4 and one in Division 5. It offers players of all levels a chance to compete competitively. Men’s team matches are played on Thursday nights from 7pm, either at ‘home’ or ‘away’. We also have 1 Ladies team in the NWCSL in Division 3b. They play their matches on a Monday night, again from 7pm onwards. Information on how Bollington are fairing during the season can be found by clicking here.
Out of season, team players usually like to keep their eye in by attending ‘Club Night’. On Thursday nights (from 7pm), in place of match night, players of all levels take part in a less formal evening of Squash, where everyone plays each other in 20-minute slots. Club night is free to members and £2.50 for non-members. The Ladies have their own ‘Ladies Night’ on Monday nights, but are more than welcome to attend the Thursday night ‘Club Night’ if they wanted.
We also have an internal Squash Ladder at the club. It allows people to challenge other players at the club on a less formal but still competitive basis. The ladder is made up of three parts: team players, social players and junior players. All parts of the ladder are integrated so both social and junior players have a chance to work their way to the top of the ladder. If you wish to join the ladder contact Chris Ogden (07870735331 or email@example.com).
Finally at Bollington Health and Leisure we offer a wide range of coaching for all ages and abilities. Our thriving Junior section, run by coaches Chris Ogden and Geoff Coe, offers coaching from the age of 4 all the way through to 18. There are also sessions for adults through the week such as #SquashGirlsCan and Squash 101. More information can be found on the “Squash Coaching” page or by contacting our head coach – Chris Ogden.
The club also has a Facebook page (Bollington Squash Club) and Twitter Account (Bolly_Squash) to keep people up to date with everything that is going on.
